A cold day in the Koku forest, the sky was grey and melancholy, it appears precipitation may happen but one can only tell if it will fall sooner or later. A man of reasonable height clad in leather armor plated in bronze with garments of red and golden silk underneath is strolling through the dense flora below, the Master of Cheng Kun known as Lee Jun-Fan.  He is on a search for his friends separated from the group wondering where they are.  Lee would look up toward the canopy of the trees with eyes of eyes of hazel feeling the calm breeze kiss his lightly tanned skin and run through black locks neatly tied in a knot on top of his head. His thoughts wandered, where would his allies have gone, did they abandon him after a nights rest in this harsh region? He is on his guard since he is alone in this lush environment, Lee would grip the hilt of his Jian (sword) resting on the left hip held in the sash around his waist. On the opposite side of the belt was a small and solid metal orb attached to a thin yet sturdy chain, the chain was looped around his sash with a total length of five yards long.  A master of eight of nine Chenzhao martial arts is not one to be trifled with his knowledge with weaponry and hand to hand combat was immense, the man was built for speed but under that speed lied immense strength in all that power he possesses.  Decades of training gave him the knowledge to be extremely adaptable in any situation put before him knowing what art to counter with another and what weapon and form it would need to take down an opponent.  His tolerance to pain after brutal beatings and lacerations would give him some edge in a situation settled on the field of battle. With senses keen he listens through the rustling of tree and dead leaves for any movement he must be ready for anything to strike, he continues his walk through Koku hoping to see someone he recognizes. He will not hesitate to draw his weapon ready to strike if he is to hear someone that were to sneak up on him.  If such a thing happens it will only excite him that he is finally able to use is abilities on someone that means him harm or is stupid enough to pull a stunt that would startle him.

A shiver shot up Aaron's spine as he trudged through the thick forest. His eyes glanced about, keeping his wits about him so that a predator wouldn't be able to ambush him if he were to be seen as prey. Aaron's steel plated boots crunched the earth below him, not allowing a single thing to slow him down. His black loose fit pants were comfortable with their fit. His tight fit steel threaded shirt was hidden beneath his cloak. His hung over his shoulders and just passed his knees. the only opening was the front to which his sword was able to be unsheathed at a moment's notice. His crimson cloak flowed in the wind as he walked. Suddenly, he stopped. Cloak still flowing, his long blonde hair wisping within the breeze. He closed his eyes and listened to the sounds of the surrounding area. Just briefly, he could catch a hint of the snow falling among the forest. It was silent other than that. "Hmph. I suppose this land isn't always so interesting after all.." He said to himself, slightly annoyed.

Three Headed Dragon: Lee Jun-Fan / Aaron Havoc / Nai-Li Empty Re: Three Headed Dragon: Lee Jun-Fan / Aaron Havoc / Nai-Li

Mon Apr 15, 2019 10:10 pm
The fire was spitting sharp cracks through the wind as it burned slowly, collectively within a small pit, surrounded by makeshift barriers with stones and other gathered material that would contain the fire within itself. Above the fire was a pot where food was placed within a pot, though it had since been emptied of it's contents and the lid was left askew on the top, slightly placed off it's side, though steam was emerging from it's opening.
Within the small area sat two individuals, one of which was collecting small pieces of wood and branch trimmings, where as the other was sat by the fire, collecting it's warmth with a bowl placed within her hands.
Nai-Li would feel the fire, it warmed her darkly tanned skin, the warmth of the stew that was placed within the bowl in her hands warmed them as well. She would slowly lift the bowl to her lips as she sipped some of the food, it had been some time since their last meal, though with the next few days of travel, it would require much more than a simple bowl of food to supply them, they would have to hunt again.
"You know, when you mentioned Japah, this is not exactly what I had in mind" the man collecting wood had returned to the small circle, kneeling down and taking out a small knife, trimming the branches of their slightly frost bitten leaves. Tsuga was his name, a fellow native Chenzhao citizen, much like Nai-Li, traveling the land of Japah in search of a particular master that her guidance in Chenzhao had instructed.
"And you expected lavish gambling rooms?" Nai-Li spit out, throwing a look to Tsuga, growing apparently irritated with his complaining that has been accompanying them for the last three days.
"Gambling? No. A barren wood, no, anything but mindless wondering" Tsuga couldn't help to say with a smile, it was not enough to irritate his friend, but he knew her limits enough to leave the subject. Nai-Li would not respond to this.
"Do you honestly believe you will find one man out of the entire country of Japah?" Tsuga continued his questions, throwing the trimmed branches into the fire as it caught, the saplings would singe and lift the ash into the air. Nai-Li would remain silent for a moment before replying. "We will find him" she would say with some minor certainty that eased Tsuga for a moment.
Tsuga would continue to talk before being interrupted by the sound of snapping trees within a small distance, they had not established a perimeter, nor had a route of knowing where one might come, young and foolish to the ways of the land, they were unsure of what was around the corner and placed themselves foolishly. Nai-Li and Tsuga both jumped to their feet and turned in multiple directions, attempting to determine where the noise had originated, though was having no luck as to locating the culprit.
They stopped for a moment longer before hearing the noise one more, it was approaching from the North. Tsuga turned to his knapsack and retrieved a sword that was tied to it's side and pulled it from it's cloth wrapping, a green hued holster was throw to the side as a glimmering shine of silver broke through the air. Nai-Li followed suit, reaching her hands to the side and pulling rings from her pocket, sliding them onto her fingers slowly before reaching beside the knapsack where the sword was drawn to retrieve a pair of leather gauntlets that were stuffed into the bag. She pulled them over her fists, clenching them as she tied them around her wrists, ensuring their durability to remain on her arms. Tsuga and Nai-Li exited the small circle where an opening was straight towards the North, they would stand silent before Nai-Li broke the silence
"You are awful at sneaking, if you could call it that!" she shouted out to the wind, hoping that whoever approached, would hear and be spooked from the company.[/i]

Jun-Fan would quickly halt and angle the sheath of his sword for the draw,  the faint sound of sharp steel would then ring.  He hears voices in the distance when he hones in on the direction of the voices a glow of flame appears through the trees. Seemed like more than one person was near.  He would approach minding his footing to keep his silence.  He is not the most camouflaged however but the shadows of clouds and trees gave him enough cover to keep hidden. Lee was on his toes as he began to walk forward with his sword at a high stance.  His eyes and his ears were now honed in on a possible attack, his breathing was moderated.   Jun-Fan was ready for whatever was going to be thrown at him.  Towards the campfire, he heard a woman shout feeling threatened, was he spotted?  Lee Jun-Fan is at a distance to where he can assess the situation now, one man and a woman.  They are moving to the north while Lee is approaching the east side.  The reflection of light coming from the man shows that the man is carrying a blade of some kind as it shimmers in the firelight.  When he approaches the edge of encampment he scans the targets some more on what they are equipped with.  He scans the woman since he has yet to see what she has,  she appears unarmed only possessing some armour. Lee keeps his body pointing straight at the two, his eyes trying to keep track of his footing and the targets.  With every few steps, he would glance at the ground to keep a silent approach on them only placing each foot on patches of exposed dirt or on patches of snow that would not have frozen over.  He is taking his time moving toward them, once he closes in he would be ready to fight.

"Voices?" Aaron thought as he stood still, eyes still closed. He stepped behind a tree, not to hide, but to observe. Surely, there would be activity if he were to wait long enough. Aaron smiled as a devilish idea crossed his mind. He pursed his lips, and whistled. The sharp and piercing sound echoed throughout the forest. Aaron quickly and silently shifted his position to where he wouldn't be seen. Maybe if he were to draw the attention to where he was, he could watch the show. "Too bad I didn't bring a snack." Aaron thought to himself was he whistled again, making even more of a stir in the usually silent environment. He darted to a near by bush. He leapt within, still making little sound. The brush was so thick that his red cloak would be hard to be seen even by the sharpest of eyes. Before he got comfortable, however, he noticed black berries on the branches of the bush. "Oh jeeze. I haven't eaten in days and now that I can eat, I can't risk any sound. What terrible luck..." He thought, staring at the berry intensely. It's all he could focus on. He had several thoughts regarding just attempting to be silent while picking the berries. As well as "What if they don't even hear me?" His focus did not advert from this delicious treat before him. His eyes narrowed and he gritted his teeth. "DAMMIT. WHY DO I HAVE TO HAVE SUCH BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO EATING!?" He roared. Quickly, he covered his mouth, realizing that he had just revealed his location to whomever was out there.

Three Headed Dragon: Lee Jun-Fan / Aaron Havoc / Nai-Li Empty Re: Three Headed Dragon: Lee Jun-Fan / Aaron Havoc / Nai-Li

Tsuga and Nai-Li were standing still after Nai-Li had initially spoke out to the wind it seemed, there was not a stir in sight. Tsuga slowly lowered his blade as though he was not expecting much threat from the wind that was coming, as he turned there was a sharp whistle breaking out within the air, this sent Nai-Li and Tsuga on alert towards the noise. Tsuga turned to look at Nai-Li to see if she had heard the same thing, or if his mind was playing tricks on him. Nai-Li offered the same stare to Tsuga, as though she herself was too losing her mind. The sharp ringing came again though the location could not be picked up. Nai-Li and Tsuga began to turn into several directions to attempt to find the source of the noise. Nai-Li and Tsuga both sharpen their focus and begin to turn faster. Nai-Li makes a round turn, her attention going towards the rear of the the two of them, back to the camp circle, it was there she believed she found a source of the noise that had just startled them. Tsuga soon followed suit, noticing that Nai-Li had not turned. He turned back to the camp circle where Nai-Li had been fixated on. Within the circle, as though attempting to sneak up upon them was a man hunched over, without the noise there would be no telling as to what would have happened. Nai-Li began to scold herself within her mind, here she believed that she would be ready for anything that would happen within her time in this land, and here she stands, stunned by a quiet assassin who would sneak up to a blade to her back. Nai-Li was about to speak out to the man, after catching her panic and placing it on hold but was interrupted by yet another loud noise, this time it came within the form scream from behind them once more.
"Two?" Tsuga would say aloud, turning his back to the man that was caught sneaking upon them. Nai-Li did not take her eyes from the man before her, clenching her fists as she slowly turned her head to Tsuga, not averting her eyes from the target. "Find out what it is" Nai-Li would command. Tsuga began to move towards the wooded area where the last scream was heard, as though someone was wanting them to hear him, Tsuga moved with caution.

Nai-Li brought her hands to wrists and pulled the gauntlets tighter to her arms as she took a few steps forward towards the man. Sliding her foot to the side, lowering her stance into a horse stance and tightening her fingers into a small clinch and open palm position, bringing her left arm slightly above her head into a bent stance as the other arm was jutted forward with a "ssffh" jutting from her mouth into a sharp breath as though preparing the oncoming bout.
"What do you want sneak blade, there is no bounty on ours heads" Nai-Li said as a small bit of sweat slowly slid down the side of her head, assuming that this assailant had followed them, believing that they would carry a bounty and a promise of coin for their heads.

A loud voice cry's out in the woods, is there another in their party? The two in front of Lee begins to scan the area looking for whoever made that noise, too late to hide now.  The first to find Lee is the woman, her eyes lock on to Jun-Fan and a rush of energy pulses through his body, eyes widen and heart rate rises.  Lee is now in full battle mode a foot drags forward and jian held at a high stance. The man now looks toward the the master, then as soon as Lee saw him was as soon as he left Jun-Fan’s field of view.  It is then that the woman sets herself into a ready stance.  The stance was very familiar, could she be from Chenzhao like him?  The stance she is taking is almost identical to a stance used by the fighters of Jingsong. It would give Lee an idea on knowing what she may use against him, but he does not know her knowledge of the art.  The art was highly defensive so it meant that attacks he must execute must only attack exposed points of their defense.  He moves down to a mid-stance with his sword and readies himself.  Will she stand steadfast against an experienced fighter or will her resolve buckle under fear?  His left foot only drags by an inch before he is ready to strike.  He then leaps into action with a battle cry that roared through the forests of Japah. This is when he runs forward and halts at an arms length away as he then slashes his Jian toward the woman’s neck and shoulder and follows up his attack if she manages to dodge the strike by extending his arms to his sides in a stabbing motion,  the sword would then be aimed center mass of her torso. His right arm would be facing toward her and his left hand in the opposite direction.  This form was a basic one but effective in the right hands, fundamentals are key when using any form of combat. He prays that her back up will not come, a one on one fight would be quick work for him and he does not need an other to focus on.

Three Headed Dragon: Lee Jun-Fan / Aaron Havoc / Nai-Li Empty Re: Three Headed Dragon: Lee Jun-Fan / Aaron Havoc / Nai-Li

Sat Apr 20, 2019 5:46 pm
The battle has begun. Aaron smiled with the thought of the fight taking place. He wasn't noticed, he seemed to be forgotten. Just the way he wanted it. He stepped out of the bush and began peacefully walking towards the roar that he had heard. His cloak and long blonde hair flowing within the sudden updraft of wind. His left hand rested on the hilt of his katana, ready to draw it at a moment's notice. As his footsteps crunched within the snow, he came to three people. A young woman, a man about his age, and another man, seemingly a bit older. He had his eyes closed as he stood there, his smile still placed on his face. The sheer peaceful aura that emitted from this Pantheon hailing man was that of a mystery. One may even ask "How can someone with such an aura carry a weapon?" This answer was best saved for another time, however. Aaron was ready. He was prepared. He was even a little excited as his heart fluttered at the chance to engage in combat. "If you plan on fighting. Count me in as well." He said, making sure that the three could hear him as he spoke. His eyes remained closed as he stood still.

Three Headed Dragon: Lee Jun-Fan / Aaron Havoc / Nai-Li Empty Re: Three Headed Dragon: Lee Jun-Fan / Aaron Havoc / Nai-Li

Nai-Li tightened her fist at the visible movements of the man before her, clearly armed and with a notable sword, Chenzhao forged and from her home country. This took her focus to the more extreme if the stance of his movements and eventual attack was not apparent enough, this man was trained in the art of blades. Nai-Li brought herself back to her combat initiative and thwarted the initial slash that was directed towards Nai-Li herself, though his speed was impeccable, a skilled man that was very clearly trained. Her training in Henkaba ensured her proper stance, pushing back on her heels and thrust herself backwards, this would in turn throw her on her back, though with her momentum she was able to roll backwards during this fall and slide to her feet in the same movement, throwing her from a good length of his blade and would require the man to travel further forward to engage her with his weapon, though this brought her closer to the assailant that could potentially be behind her, though she could not risk averting her eyes from the man that was attacking her front, he was far too fast to miss even a moment of his attacks, which even the slightest aversion could mean her death with the speed he just demonstrated. She brought back forth her stance, sliding her left foot forward and lowering her horse stance to the ground and jutting her left arm to her chest and her right arm into a hook position into the air as her fist was slightly above her temple, preparing for his next assault though was attempting to administer a test to see how he approached with a lower opponent.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Tsuga had heard the scream out once more and brought his blade tighter to his body, as the man stepped from the bushes of which he was hiding moments ago. "This must be the man that was making the noise earlier", Tsuga thought to himself before planning his next course of action. Tsuga noted the man, tall in nature, stout though looked as though he was of athletic build, he could not properly determine the form of which teh man was moving, as though he was not prepared for combat at all. Tsuga took advantage of this moment and lunged into the action. Tsuga brought the sword over his head and attempted to slice through the man before him, bringing the blade down over his head, immediately looking for a quick death to someone who could be potentially dangerous to the already rising situation they had upon them.

A miss from his first barrage of attacks, the woman would leap off the ground away from Jun-Fan. So maybe she is a skilled practitioner of the art, this bout will not be a quick and easy one. It is then he hears a voice cry out in the bushes, this appeared to be a third voice unknown to Lee. Is he accompanying the other two, why was he even hiding in the first place if he was wanting to fight? Regardless Lee has been given a sense of urgency knowing that he has another foe to face. The other two don’t seem to be focused so he continues his onslaught with another flurry as he steps forward. He closes the distance with the woman by moving toward her and sending two thrusts of the Jian toward her and to throw her off guard he then pivots into a low stance as he moves lower to the ground, as he moves lower, his right leg becomes outstretched as he spins his body clockwise sending a kick to her right knee to knock her off her feet. If the kick were to land it would sweep her leg and knock her off of her feet and onto the ground. If he were to knock her onto the ground. His left leg was bend down low and on the ball of his left foot so whether Lee would strike his opponent or in a worse case scenario miss he would be able to follow through with his movements and drag his right foot back once the foot flies past her. If she were to be knocked down or put into a position in which she needs to keep moving backward he would follow with another stab of the jian toward the foe’s torso.

Aaron opened his eyes. He swiftly drew his sword and rotated it, bringing the dull side to the top and knocked the man's sword away from it's target. "Now, now. I said that I wanted to join this fight and you blatantly ignored me? I don't think that's exactly proper etiquette. Especially when I made it clear that I wanted to join. For that disrespect, you will not be shown mercy." Aaron said, stepping back far enough to keep the three within his sights. He then spoke once more. "Just because I blocked his attack, it doesn't mean that I'm on your side, little girl. Same with you, punk. Now, let us begin this battle, yeah?" He said, a grin stetched on his face and his brows arched, showing his confidence in winning.

Three Headed Dragon: Lee Jun-Fan / Aaron Havoc / Nai-Li Empty Re: Three Headed Dragon: Lee Jun-Fan / Aaron Havoc / Nai-Li

Nai-Li had tensed up for a moment before the next assault was to be carried out, she would not understand why she allowed herself to do this but before she could make her next move there was a clash of blade that was met, sending a sharp ring to her ears, and knowingly Tsuga's as well. Nai-Li clintched her fists and stared to the man that had blocked the attack, he was a tall man, pale white skin and appeared to wear clothes that were not of what they have seen in Japah since their arrival. A Pantheon perhaps? This far East? Nai-Li would wonder before sliding herself to the edge of the two other fighters, wanting to keep them both within her sight to not miss a move. Tsuga was quick to follow behind her in this action, quickly making his way to her side and keeping his blade tight within his hands.
"Nai-Li we do not know what their intentions might be, we can turn and get out of this are- Tsuga went to say before she cut him off.
"He swung the sword to kill me, there is nothing left to mystery, their intentions are obvious." Nai-Li said, scanning her eyes between the two men that were now locked into what she could only assume would end with someone dead.
"We should have stayed in Chenzhao" Tsuga would say before tightening the grip on the hilt of his blade and rushing towards the tall Pantheon native. He would swoop low, attempting to swing the blade to the back of the man's leg, seizing a moment to note his size and that lower attacks may be more preventive to the situation. Nai-Li did not rush to such attacks, she simply kept her stance behind Tsuga, attempting to note what sort of movements the two men would make at Tsuga's attack, perhaps they carried a style of their own, and she was intending to find out.

Out of know where the hue of a crimson cloth flowed in the wind and the shine steel reflecting the flame of the campfire. That same blade parries the Jian, the blade would then veer away from the woman to Lee’s left.  A tall individual has entered the battle with a blade native to Japah. Lee’s eyes would travel upward to the eyes of the new combatant,  so it is likely he is in league with them.  The golden haired giant begins to speak and as quickly as he opened his mouth Lee backed off a few paces.  The man then steps back to keep everyone in view, he was the only one to make a move against Lee as far as using a weapon.  With that in mind Lee is now shifting his sights onto a new target,  the moment that he begins talking again he moves in for the attack a few paces toward the blond titan.  Jun-Fan winds up for a slash at the titan, he would being the motion by shifting his right foot behind his left spinning his body. With the motion of the spin Lee would send a slash toward the foe’s right side traveling at thirty degrees upward aimed above the waist line of the torso, post slash he would do another spin to follow up on the weapon’s attack with a kick, the left leg would bend while maintaining balance then extend giving Jun-Fan a powerful leap upwards as he then send out his right foot. His body would angle to where it could strike at the jaw with the heel to attempt to make contact. With the heel being the hardest part of the foot it would create severe damage if it were to strike the outsider. It may dislocate or in a worse case break the jaw and maybe even knock him out, if the giant were to lean forward it may prove even worse for Lee’s foe, because it could quite possibly strike the temple of the skull creating more blunt force trauma and with the force of the kick traveling so fast to possible concuss and/or inflict brain damage.  After the kick would follow through he would then. Swing the blade into a reverse grip and land on balls of his feet before heels make contact with the ground,  dragging the right foot back and his left arm pointed at the man with an open palm. Despite his attack he keeps the other two in his peripheral vision quick to shift his eyes to the others if they dared to move in, but his eyes were locked with the blond man.  He notices the woman back off and rally with the other man who is against Master Lee Jun-Fan. His guard has become that of a bulwark and he is making sure none of them get behind Lee.

Two attacks were directed at Aaron. He didn't hesitate with his movements. They were like the wind with their grace and smooth execution. First, Aaron shifted his positioning to have the steel plate on the front of his boot to be placed in front of the first attack made my Tsuga. This allowed Aaron to have the proper positioning to face Tsuga for a brief moment, allowing him to swing the dull side of his sword towards Tsuga's skull. This attack was not enough force to kill the man. More so a simple and quick strike to knock him out. With a single fluid motion, Aaron pivoted on the front of his right foot and brought his stance low, throwing all of his weight into a roll. Before his shoulder touched the earth below him, his changed his grip on his sword, changing it to a back hand grip with the tip of the blade pointing down. As he rolled, the tucked the blade to where the dull side had been facing his body, allowing him to put the sword between his legs, giving him a perfect and comfortable roll out of the reach of Lee Jun-Fan's attack towards him. At the end of his roll, he shifted himself to where his right foot would be planted flat on the ground with a slight spin on his upper back before. This allowed the man to have a starting leap back into position to where he once again pivoted, keeping both the young woman and the man who had attacked him in his peripheral sight. while he stood, he shifted his grip on his sword once more, allowing for the normal grip on the hilt to be returned. "That's one down. Whose next?" He asked, his familiar smile stretched on his face.
